Learn to Scuba Dive in Limassol - our son learned to dive a few years ago and took his PADI Open Water Diver's course, whilst here on holiday. He's now in the Australian Navy!
Visit the Cyprus Donkey Sanctuary in Vouni village. You can even adopt a donkey! Stop for a Cream Tea in the village too.
Go and climb to the top of the keep at Kolossi Castle - great for kids both young & old.
Fancy a bit of ancient Roman history? Take a day out to explore the ancient ruins overlooking Episkopi and Curium beach. See the Roman ampitheatre, Temple of Apollo and the old stadium - all within a few minutes drive of each other. Then take a trip down to the beach to swim, sunbathe or take a lazy lunch at one of the 3 beach tavernas.
If hiring a car, take a drive into the foothills of Troodos Mountain range and visit Omodos Village. Still a residential village but with a strong slant on tourism. Plenty of opportunities to see Cyprus lace making and taste the local Commanderia fortified wine. There are many places to have lunch within the narrow, twisting streets and don't miss a walk around the monastery.
